Title Research regularly traces missing beneficiaries across the world and a recent case was no different, with our expert team locating family members in six countries spanning four continents.
The case had been brought to us by a solicitor who required expert assistance with locating a family who had been displaced. The only information that they were able to provide was that the deceased was part of a German Jewish family, some members of which had been executed in Nazi concentration camps while others had managed to escape to freedom.
Our consultant genealogists worked closely with our research teams based across the world and successfully managed to trace the surviving family members to Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Israel, Singapore and the USA. Our client is now in touch with the beneficiaries who will be able to benefit from their long standing inheritance.
Simon Barber, Operations Manager at Title Research, commented; “We often get instructed to locate people who have either moved, or have always lived, overseas. Each jurisdiction presents its own unique challenges and it often takes longer to find people overseas than if they were in the UK.
This case highlights just some of the ways in which we can support our clients and assist them with cases that could potentially become very complicated. We trace over 3,500 missing beneficiaries each year and, thanks to our relationship with genealogists across the globe, we can find beneficiaries in almost any location.”
