We can provide free-form guidance from an expert probate genealogist

When dealing with an intestate estate, you are required by HMCTS to complete and submit form PA1A in order to obtain a Grant of Letters of Administration.

This form contains questions about the estate but also the family and proposed Personal Representative. At the time of application, you may be unaware or unsure of all the details to complete these sections and Title Research can assist with this.

We can carry out an Administrator Check to ensure the proposed Personal Representative is entitled to apply for the Grant. In most cases, we can complete this free of charge. And if we can’t – perhaps the surnames are especially frequently occurring, or the family originated outside of England and Wales – we advise on any costs involved to do so.

At the same time, we can prepare an initial research assessment – again normally completely free of charge – highlighting the steps needed to verify the family tree with a view to satisfy insurers and obtain a quotation for missing beneficiary insurance. Protecting your client from any potential future personal liability.

Our highly experienced genealogists are available by phone or email for free support as you complete form PA1A to help smooth the process and ensure that your application is submitted as accurately as possible.
